WOW! REMNANT 2011 was our first Student Conference at The Gathering and what a blessing it was. The students had a great time and more importantly,we saw 117 people surrender their lives to the call of God.

Dave Edwards and Jamey Ragle did an outstanding job speaking to all the students that attended this past weekend.

Darryl Bellar, Senior Pastor of the Journey Church in Fernandina Beach, FL also spoke during our Sunday morning service. (Darryl used to be our Student Pastor and was called to start a church in Fernandina Beach)

The room was filled with students and adults alike and man, was it electrified!

I want to say THANK YOU to all the wonderful volunteers who sacrificed their weekend to serve at REMNANT! We couldn’t have done it without you!

Way to go Andrew Rup! Your love for The Gathering students is so obvious! I thank God He called you to pastor our students!

Our church began a 21 day FAST this past Sunday and, like millions around the world, we are believing God  for mighty miracles in our homes, our children, our businesses, our churches and our nation. But more than anything we need a greater understanding of the great I AM. The BREAD of LIFE. The LIGHT of The WORLD. The BRIGHT and MORNING STAR. The ONE who IS, who WAS and who ALWAYS WILL BE! The God who stretches out His hand and who is EVER FAITHFUL!

We need God to take us to NEW LEVELS!

As we begin 2012 I am looking forward to a greater REVELATION of the CHRIST, the ETERNAL SACRIFICE and the LORD WHO LOVES RIGHTEOUSNESS!

Over the last 14 days… this is what the Lord has laid on my heart that I am to ask HIM FOR:

1.   HUNGER… a NEW LEVEL of HUNGER for RIGHTEOUNESS…

Matthew 5:6 (NASB95) “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.

I’m wanting my desires to change in the NEXT DECADE for the THINGS of GOD…I don’t want to love the things of this world more than the things of GOD… sometimes I’m afraid I DO!!!

 2.   HOLINESS…I KNOW THAT I HAVE too much of this WORLD in ME.. I weep as I write this…I don’t want to be culturally relevant, I want to be HOLY… someone told me something one time about an OLD PREACHER… LEE ROBERSON…he said, GENE , “Dr Roberson is HOLY”

1 Peter 1:15–16 (NASB95) but like the Holy One who called you, be holy yourselves also in all your behavior; 16 because it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.”

 3.   HUMILITY… IN the MINISTRY I BELIVE we can LEARN to FAKE CERTAIN QUALITY of CHARACTER … My pastor GARY COLEMAN is truly a HUMBLE SERVANT in the KINGDOM… I want to be truly HUMBLE… this verse about MOSES has always convicted me greatly.

Numbers 12:3 (NASB95) (Now the man Moses was very humble, more than any man who was on the face of the earth.)

 4.   HOME… I’m PRAYING for a NEW LEVEL of a CHRIST HONORING HOME

Ephesians CHAPTER 5&6

 5.   HARVEST… I’m asking God and the HOLY SPIRIT to teach me more about this ENDTIME HARVEST… ALTHOUGH I UNDERSTAND EVANGELISM… I’m wanting HIM TO GIVE ME INSIGHT into the HARVEST…HIDDEN TRUTHS about HOW TO BE a MAJOR PART OF THIS REAPING in the LAST DAYS.

Matthew 9:37 (NASB95) Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.

Matthew 9:38 (NASB95) “Therefore beseech the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest.”

 6.   HEALINGS…I’m praying that our church will see and EXPERIENCE NEW LEVELS of HEALINGS at the GATHERING… OUR LORD STILL HEALS…

Isaiah 58:8 (NLT) “Then your salvation will come like the dawn, and your wounds will quickly heal.

Your godliness will lead you forward, and the glory of the Lord will protect you from behind.

A TRUE FAST!!!! has HEALINGS for those that are SICK…

 7.   HOURS…the LORD gave me this to not worry about my days… but rather don’t miss the moments in the day… stay sensitive in the HOUR… these divine encounters that are coming with the waitress, the layperson the unexpected moments… be sensitive in all the hours of the day of what HE IS DOING…becoming so sensitive to the SPIRIT OF GOD that I look for him in every HOUR OF THE DAY…

Ephesians 5:16 (NASB95) making the most of your time, because the days are evil.

May God REVEAL Himself to you in ways that you never dreamed possible! Seek…and you will find!

God….take us to a NEW LEVEL! 

Karen and I would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year. We believe it is going to be the best year ever in the life of The Gathering.

Our first decade at The Gathering was centered around The Great Investment. Now, as we enter our next decade, we are embarking on The Great Commitment. A great commitment requires a great attitude. One that brings glory to our Lord. One that reflects His image, not ours. Over the next few weeks I will be teaching out of the book of Philippians. This book in the New Testament is full of spiritual nuggets that, if you will allow the words to absorb into your spirit, will change your life….forever!

As I said, 2012 is going to be year to remember at The Gathering. To everyone returning after the holidays Karen and I would like to say…..

This Saturday we will celebrate Christmas Eve at The Gathering with a special service beginning at 5:00PM. I hope you will come out as we take communion together and remember that the greatest gift ever given was the gift of our Savior, the LORD Jesus.

I was so blessed yesterday when Sheriff Ron Seals met with me in my office and presented a check for The Lord’s Child Ministry! The Lord’s Child is an outreach ministry that is both National and International.

We love our community and love helping children! THANK YOU Ron Seals for helping us make it all possible.

This Sunday we sent out 12 missionaries from our church body (that were called of God) to represent International Missions for The LORD’S Child Ministry. Their passion is to help the children around the world have clean water, food and shelter. To build villages with orphanages for the homeless children, wells for clean drinking water and school’s.

This is no small task but nevertheless, they are committed to these children!

Boy, do I love my church family! So much so that, when asked, I actually wore western attire for the first time ever at a wedding I performed this afternoon for one of my members.

I really had a great time but I was definitely out of my comfort zone!
